“Echo’s Sublime Sister, Echo” (2019)  

an attempt to reconcile the binary of East and West by using cross-cultural images from mythology and recycling references from the omnipresent canon of Western classical art history.

“Art can challenge fixed notions of cultural identity in our information-overloaded world. Even in “post”-colonialism, East and West aren’t a binary. Western influences are inescapable in a globalizing world and art history. Amidst cultural prides and reclamations, isn’t nationalist purity futile?”
